The new normal

Trees from my car window

I know there will be a normal
May be not the normal we knew –
But a normal nevertheless.
When we get to appreciate
The cool spring breeze
on our unmasked faces.
When we get to heartily hug our loved ones.
When streets and hearts
are filled alike.
When we still cautiously wash our hands.
When we all go to admire the tulips and the cherry blossoms.
I know there is a normal
somewhere
in the future.
And I know you –
are going to continue being.
Just like me,
with your loved one.
Until we can hug again.
Until we can laugh together.
Until we can share a meal.
Until we meet again.
In the new normal.

Welcome to my blog. I’m Roshni. I’m a proud Madrasi (living in rainy Seattle) and I absolutely love tea (nope, not filter kaapi). I'm a traveler and writer for the pure love of it. In this space you can find my travel stories, some amateurish photos, midnight philosophies, some vegetarian recipes and diet plans, and maybe more! You can feel free to comment on my posts here, follow me on Twitter @book_polygamist, on Instagram @trottertales. Hope you enjoy my journey and be sure to share yours. I'll definitely add it to my ever piling reading list. Cheers!
